Our Quadratic Formula

Linear is easy. Exponential is on purpose.

We named the company for the first curve beyond a straight line — the moment where value stops being added and starts being multiplied.

Quadratic parabola

Quadratic, adjective — involving the second and no higher power of an unknown quantity or variable.

The past quarter century has been nothing short of incredible in the information technology sector. With novel ideas and solutions around every corner, we are continually finding better answers to issues of all levels of complexity. Working software is developed more quickly and brings value earlier in the process than ever before.

Software is here to stay — but the applications and systems from 40+ years ago that pioneered the path to today are in many cases still in use. Our partners often cannot afford to compromise operation, and yet find themselves needing solutions to new problems without disrupting what already works.

The term “Quadratic” represents the first possible move from a linear operation to an exponential one — resulting value is not just added, it is multiplied and magnified. There is no better term to highlight our mission: through iterative and incremental delivery, we create exponential value for our clients and fulfill a civic duty by crafting solutions that account for the challenges of tomorrow.

How we work

HIRE. Four principles we hire for, and lead with.

Using our four core principles of Honesty, Integrity, Respect, and Empathy as a guide, teams at Quadratic Digital leverage the iterative journey as a way to connect with users — and build solutions that are not constraining, but considerate of future needs.

H

Honesty

We tell the truth about what is working, what is not, and what it will take. Even when it is uncomfortable — especially then.

I

Integrity

We do what we said we would do. We stand behind our work, our estimates, and the people we put on an engagement.

R

Respect

For clients, for teammates, for the end user — and for the mission we are all showing up to serve.

E

Empathy

The best software starts with understanding the human on the other side of it. That posture shapes everything we ship.

Civic duty

Every contributor has an obligation to work toward a better tomorrow.

We believe non-profit and public-sector clients, given the nature of their funding, should be priced appropriately. Our business model reflects that — hopefully, you agree.
